John Bourgoin, CEO of the Automobile Club of Southwestern from 1980 to 1992, just send me a photo of the commemoration of the Bordeaux Grand Prix which took place in September 1987.

On this picture you can see Mr. Bourgoin a trophy five times World Champion Formula 1, Argentine Juan Manuel Fangio.

I pointed out that at this event, the historical route of the Grand Prix had been restored on and the Quays around the Place des Quinconces.

I announce the upcoming July 4 release of my fourth book on the history of Formula 1: Bordeaux Grand Prix Formula 1

It deals an adventure often forgotten today, the F1 Grand Prix contested outside world championship. The greatest drivers in the race and ended up much more frequently than today.

This adventure takes us on the banks of the Garonne, in a city central in the history of motor sport, even if that legacy is virtually nonexistent now! Four GP took place in the 1950s, and I propose to (re) discover with this book.
